Ghandruk Dhampus Trek

Ghadruk and Dhampus trek is planned for trekkers who has a limited time schedule in Nepal to see a Snow mountain those trekker we offer some of the best views in the Annapurna region without having to contend with the altitude. The trek is start from Naya Pul near by Pokahra valley. Instantly after leaving Pokhara valley, it is not such a long wait before we get fantastic views of the mountains including the common shape of Machhapuchhre. The first day the trail leads for Ghandruk village , we follow the Modi gorge valley through rhododendron and orchid hang forest before we climb to Ghandruk. Ghandruk, a large & prosperous Gurung village, is beautifully set against the backdrop of Annapurna South (7219m), Hiunchuli (6441m) and holy Mount Machhapuchhre (6993m). This is a short trek probably most popular route in Nepal. In this trek we can observe the the views of over 7000m Annapurna Himalayas. Ghandruk itself represents history of ethinic gurung culture in western Nepal. Ghandruk village is another attraction of this trek the mostly settlement of  Gurungs who are known is “Gurkhas”. Gurkhas have glorious history they created in Second World War.



Ghandruk Dhampus Trek Itinerary in Details:

Day 1:Arrival pick up transfer to Hotel and Orientation. 
Pick-up at Tribhuvan International Airport, meeting with your guide and transfer to Hotel. First impressions of Kathmandu – walk to medieval Kathmandu Durbar Square and explore the beautiful complex of palaces, temples, shrines and courtyards built by the ancient Nepali kings between the 12th and 18th century. We also discover Thamel - the vibrant tourist area with hotels, restaurants and outdoorshops.Briefing hotel where we will be discussing the technicalities of the trek..In the evening you enjoy a welcome dinner with cultural Dance.

Day 2 :Sightseeing and Trek Prepration day
After Breakfast at hotel start Sightseeing with private van to Pasupatinah, the most important Hindu temples of Nepal with the sacred burning ghats located at the holy Baghmati river and Boudhanath the biggest Buddhist stupa in South Asia and Swoyambhunath also known as Monkey Temple.Afternoon checking and arranging trekking gears. Overnight stay at Hotel
Day 03:Kathmandu- Pokhara 
Early in the morning breakfast at Hotel. Drive to Pokhara (about 6 hrs). One gets to view good scenery along the drive. Lunch will be served at the Local restaurant on the way to Pokhara. Finally arrive at the most beautiful city of Mountains and lakes. Pokhara is Nepal's most beautiful natural valley, which is also the most popular tourist destination. The Annapurna, Machhapuchere (Fishtail) and uncountable Mountains always stand high welcoming every visitor with a smile.O/n at Hotel.
Day 4:Pokhara to Ghandruk 
In the morning we will leave Pokhara and take the private jeep to Nayapul. We will take the route towards Birethanti, where we cross the Modi River, turn right and after a 5 hour walk on a steep trail, we reach Ghandruk situated at a height of about 1940m. One can observe the the trail to Annapurna Base camp trek from here. O/n at Tea House Lodge
Day 05:Ghandruk to Dhampus
Today will be relatively laidback compared to other days.The trek leads slowly downhill on even paths. Today we will need to walk to Modi river and walking up to Landruk village which is just opposite of Ghandruk.Along the way You'll also come across several traditional tea houses where the cheerful local women will beckon you to come over and try their tea .You'll arrive in Dhampus by late afternoon. this is the starting point for expeditions to the summit of Mount Everest. You'll spend the night at lodge where you will have chance to meet the trekker who did Annapurna circuit trek.O/n at Tea House Lodge
Day 6:Dhampus to Pokhara
After breakfast, you will leave for Phedi where a driver will be waiting to take you back to Pokhara. In Pokhara, you'll check into the hotel you stayed in at the beginning of the trek. The rest of the day is yours to spend as you wish in this friendly town on the lake. A clear day, you can see the snow-capped peaks in the distance. Afternoon you can rent a boating at Phewa Lake. Day 07:Pokhara - Kathmandu
Visit to Pokhara city and at afternoon fly from Pokhara back to Kathmandu which takes about 30 minutes. When you arrive you'll be picked up at the airport and taken to the same hotel you stayed at during the beginning of your Nepal trip package. Today you'll have time to do some last-minute sightseeing
